墨絵 – Sumie –

書家として墨に触れ20年、そこで洋画に出会い、絵を始めてそれから20年以上。 書も油絵も水彩もクロッキーも描きながら俳句も学ぶ内に、墨の良さを再発見。
墨絵を 2004 年に独学で始める。 書家として培った墨の線と濃淡で表現される人物の表情、仕草など独特な表現はいつも高評を得る。風景画は水 墨とは異なり、優しく柔らかな構図と濃淡で描く世界観を持つ。 その中でも、墨のかすれ、ニジミ、一本の線で人体を描く線を用いた「女」を極め続けている。
2014 年日本水墨画展大賞-内閣総理大臣賞を受賞する。2017 年から読売新聞「広論」の挿絵を3年間担当する。

It has been 20 years since she came into contact with ink as a Calligrapher, where she encountered Western painting, and it has been 20 years since she started painting. While writing Calligraphy, painting, oil painting, watercolor and sketching, learn to Haiku and rediscover the advantages of ink.
Self-study began to draw Sumie in 2004. The unique expressions such as human expressions and postures expressed in ink lines and shades, cultivated as Calligraphers, are always highly praised. Unlike ink and wash, landscape painting has a gentle and soft composition and a world view drawn in shades. Among them, she continues to master ambiguity, blooming, and “woman” who draws the lines of the human body with only one line. In 2014, she won the Japanese Ink Painting Award-Prime Minister’s Award.
Since 2017, she has been responsible for the Yomiuri Shimbun’s “KOURON” illustrations for three years.
